This course examines the use of a Practice Council. Although there are challenges gathering frontline practitioners together and maintaining enthusiasm for initiatives already implemented, the Practice Council has had a significant impact on standardizing clinical practice. It has also provided a unique forum for MRTs, Sonographers and Nurses to collaborate and communicate to overcome the challenges of providing excellent patient care in an environment separated by modality and location.

• Understand the impact that Practice Council initiatives can have on clinical practice for Medical Radiation Technologists (MRTs), Sonographers and Nurses.
• Understand the challenges and opportunities of developing a Practice Council across multi-modalities and multi-sites.
