Course Description

Reserved previously for interventional cardiology procedures, transradial access (TRA) for vascular procedures is gaining attention as a safe and effective alternative to traditional transfemoral access (TFA).  To determine if there is a significant clinical difference between the safety and efficacy of TRA in comparison to TFA, patient pain score, medication requirements, duration of recovery, complication rates, vital signs, length of stay, and hospital cost benefit will be recorded and analyzed.  In addition, patients that have undergone both TRA and TFA procedures will be surveyed to determine if there is any clinical significance between patient’s preference and patient outcomes.
