Course Description

This module discusses how a multidisciplinary Lean Sigma QI team in a large Interventional Radiology Center sought to improve patient delays and patient experience.
Due to various inefficiencies, 28% of outpatients are delayed more than 60 minutes past their scheduled procedure start time. The purpose of this project is to achieve a 50% reduction in these patient delays. Additional areas of focus include patient experience e-survey scores, PACU capacity, and cost of denied hospital insurance days.
