Course Description

Part 6 of a comprehensive 9 part lecture series on the concepts of magnetic resonance imaging. Topics include: SNR, k-space, gradients, pulse sequences, relaxation and image contrast, imaging options, artifacts, advanced concepts, and high-field MRI.

Learning Objectives

After participating in this activity, learners should be able to:

  • Describe the basic contrast mechanisms in MRI
  • Under the relationship between various MR parameters and the resulting image contrast
